Atlanta: The Place to Live

In recent years, Atlanta has become one of the most popular places to move in the country.

It’s hardly a surprise. With a commitment to city-wide improvements on public transit, a commitment to sustainability, and the nationally recognized redevelopment known as the Beltline project, Atlanta is extremely attractive for many people.

Now, after a few years of steady, consistent growth, Atlanta is primed to make the leap as a globally recognized city.

In addition to serious investment in attracting technology firms to the area — metro Atlanta, particularly Alpharetta, is quickly becoming known as the Silicon Valley of the South — Georgia’s work to boost the film and entertainment industry has paid major dividends as well.

Known as “Y’allywood,” jobs in the film industry are growing dramatically alongside recording studios and opportunities in the music industry, bringing stars along with them.

Buckhead and Alpharetta saw a boom in high-end retail as well as spectacular increase in luxury homes. Tyler Perry and Norman Reedus offloaded gorgeous homes in the area in the last couple of years, as did World Series champion Jason Heyward and R&B star Akon.

Including the addition of two state-of-the-art stadiums to the area, as well as a new MLS team, Atlanta is leaps and bounds beyond any other city in the surrounding 300 miles.

The federal government seems to be taking notice. Georgians Sonny Perdue and Tom Price will join President Trump’s administration, while Rep. Sanford Bishop was recently promoted to head of the Ag Committee.

Additionally, Governor Deal was able to secure millions of dollars in grants from the Obama Administration in 2016 to deepen the port in Savannah, a move likely to galvanize development from Atlanta to the coast while creating jobs and prosperity along the way.

Simply put, Atlanta is becoming the intersection of political power, money, entertainment, and innovation in America. With more vacant, developed lots in the area than anywhere else in the country, now is the time to secure your place in one of the world’s shining cities.
